Richard Daniel Newton

Dan Newton 46, of 218 Anderson Valley Lane; Science Hill, Kentucky died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. Richard Daniel Newton was born December 17, 1964 in Henderson, Kentucky to Phillip Daniel and Deloris Ann Tomes Newton. He was a concrete finisher and a member of the Ridgewood Baptist Church in Owensboro. Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing and all terrain sports. Dan was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Daniel Newton, and by an aunt, Phyllis Howard. Survivors include a son, Travis Daniel Newton of Bolingbrook, Illinois; a daughter, Kateleen Deeann Newton of Whitesville; his parents, Phillip “Ronnie” and Deloris Newton of Science Hill; a brother, Steven Daniel Newton and his wife, Susan of Burlington; a nephew, Steven J. Newton; two nieces, Stacey Wells and Salli Newton; a great niece, Steffanee Wells; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Station Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with the Newton Family from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
