Mary Rozella "Zella" Burdine Norton

Mary Rozella "Zella" Burdine Norton, 79, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski Co., Kentucky on February 21, 1931, daughter of the late Charlie and Alice Arnold Burdine. She was a homemaker. She is survived by five sons, JC & (Debbie) Norton, Charles & (Jo Ellen) Norton, Wayne Norton, and Junior & (Lisa) Norton all of Indianapolis, IN, Anthony & (Susie) Norton of Lebanon, IN, five daughters, Lucille & (Jim) Vaught, Kathy & (Buddy) Barnett, and Candy & (Eddie) Ping, all of Somerset, KY, Annabelle & (Gary) Matherly of Greenwood, IN, and Arlene Wiggins of Indianapolis IN, thirty four grandchildren, Scotty, Donnie, Tangy, Lisa, Kim, Toby, Robbie, Tracy, Craig, Jason, Amanda, Kim, Brent, Stephanie, Chasity, Sonya, Tonya, Melissa, Haley, Tyler, Josh, Brandy, Taylor, Alisha, Brandon, Chrissy, Dusty, Brandon, Adrianne, Emily, Lyle, Julie, Heather and Jessica, and forty four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paris Norton whom passed away on August 5, 2008, one son, Phillip Norton, one grandson Jeremy O'Neil, one great grandson, Cody Nix, one son-in-law, Jerry Nix, three brothers, Millard, John, and Ed Burdine, three sisters, Alma Arthur, Ina Whitaker, and Emma Price, and two infant brothers. Visitation will be after 5 PM Saturday January 1, 2011, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hibbard Cemetery. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday January 2, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bros. Scotty Nix and Buddy Barnett officiating. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
