Darren McKinley Godbey

Darren McKinley Godbey, 45, Bethelridge, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY. He was born on October 19, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland to Mollie Marnella (Earls) Godbey and the late Virlis S. Godbey, Sr. He was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda (Spears) Godbey, his mother, Mollie Marnella (Earls) Godbey of Yosemite, five brothers, Virlis W. Godbey and Ivan John Godbey both of Somerset, Virles S. Godbey, Jr. of Middlesboro, KY, James Nathan Godbey of Yosemite, Anthony Patrick Godbey of Perryville, two sisters, Sylvia Jean Williams and Teresa Jane Denson, both of Liberty, KY, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, half brothers and half sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Virlis S. Godbey, Sr. and a brother, Matthew Daniel Godbey. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, with Bro. Wayne Naylor officiating. Burial in the Rich Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Darren McKinley Godbey will be after 6:00 pm Friday at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Darren McKinley Godbey.
