Brenda Sue Evans

Brenda Sue (Denney) Evans, 59, of the Bandy Community, departed this life to God's glorious heaven on March 31, 2007. She was born in the Bandy community on October 13, 1947 to the late Joseph Hubert "Joe Hop" and Mary Ethel O'neil Denney. She was a Nurse Aide for the Rockcastle Health & Rehab. She is survived by four children, Phillip Evans & (his fiance, Lisa McCoy) of Jamestown, KY; Carmie Evans &(her fiance, Matthew Clark) of Bandy; Lisa &(David) Ashton of Bandy and Teresa Dick of Science Hill; a sister, Lucille Weisbrodt of Somerset; a mother-in-law, Maxine Evans of Bronston; three grandchildren, Joshua Morris, Lindsay Evans and Kaylee Evans; two step grandchildren, Ashley and Eddie Alcorn, several nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Carroll Evans, whom she married on June 19, 1965, who died on July 9, 1999; a granddaughter, Brenda LaRay Morris. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
