Billy Ray Hasty, 22, of Winter Park, Florida, formerly of Somerset, departed this life on Wednesday, January 19, 2011.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on November 5, 1988, son of Charles Edward and Tina Renee (Barron) Hasty.
His friends called him "Wild Bill" because he loved life and lived it to the fullest. He gave all in his endeavors. Life knocked him down a lot, but he proudly displayed all of his battle scars. Billy described himself as creative, artistic and "stealth". He played the guitar, wrote beautiful short stories, poems and prayers. He drew sketches and pictures blessing people who loved him with these creative gestures. Billy Ray was a champion of the homeless. He literally gave them the shoes off his feet. He walked with them often and always shared whatever he had. His daily adventures and shenanigans will be missed.
Billy is survived by his parents, Charles and Tina Hasty, brother, Tyler Hasty, paternal grandparents, Rick and Judy (Clark) Hasty and maternal grandparents, Bob and Barbara (Dye) Barron. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, James and Kathy Hasty, Robby and Shannon Barron, Erica Michelle and Phillip Rogers and Kevin Barron, nieces and nephews, Samantha and Sarah Hasty, Seth and Savannah Barron, Kealan Hatfield and Cole Barron and friends all over the world.
