Charles Curtis Banks, 74, of Eubank, departed this life on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Knott Co., Kentucky on December 11, 1936, son of the late Curtis and Gertrude Everidge Banks. He retired as a General Superintendent for General Motors after 32 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Marie Wells Banks, three sons, Charles Gregory & (Ruth) Banks of Glenwood, GA., David Wayne Banks of Kansas City, MO., and Michael Ray & (Linda) Banks of McConnellsburg, PA., two brothers, Bennie Banks and Wilgus Banks both of College Corner, OH., two sisters, Ada Sturgill of Whitesburg, KY., and Alma Beasley of College Corner, OH., five grandchildren, Monica Kelly & (Jimmy), Chap David Banks, Zachary Mark Banks, Lucas Ray Banks, and Michael Carlyle Banks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Gertrude Everidge Banks, and one sister Earlene Rinck.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Hall officiating.
Burial will be in Etna Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
