George Robert Edwards

George Robert Edwards, 80, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born on April 30, 1930 in Hamilton, OH, son of the late George Milton and Ethel Vanover Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Geraldine Rice Edwards, six sons, Ronnie Edwards of Eubank, KY, Donnie Edwards, Johnnie Edwards, Lonnie Edwards, & Roy Edwards all of Somerset, KY, & Vertres Brown, Jr., of Science Hill, KY, four daughters, Connie Baldwin of Frenchburg, KY, Gloria Abbott, of Eubank, KY, Donna Milburn of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Debbie Bowling of Eubank, KY, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Thursday February 3, 2011 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Whethington & Chaplain David Green officiating. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post # 38 Honor Guard. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday February 3, 2011 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
