Junior Owens

Junior Owens, 76 of Somerset, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Somerset on April 30, 1930, son of the late Minnie Owens Price. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by three daughters, Betty Lynn Ellis of Somerset, Mary Katherine Gregory of Burnside and Debbie Owens of Hazard, one son, David Wayne Owens of West Virginia, five grandchildren, Joshua O Brian Gregory, Brian Dewayne Gregory, Tim Owens and Dustin Ellis all of Somerset and Dale Ellis of Indiana, two brothers, James Owens and Charles Price both of Somerset, four sisters, Helen Bowlin of Ohio, Martha May Bobbitt of Somerset, Sue Troxtell of Science Hill and Myrtle Bratton of Somerset, many nieces and nephews and two special cousins, Hubert Owens of Somerset and Wilma Palmer of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister, Ruby Richardson and three brothers, John L. Hill, William Owens and Ralph Price. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. J.S. New officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
