Donna Merle Wells

Donna Merle Hall Wells, 63 of East Old Norwood Road in Science Hill, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on February 28, 1944, daughter of Elizabeth Girdler Hall Denham and the late Johnnie Ray Hall. She was retired from Showcase Trophies, where she worked as an office secretary. She was part of the Knit Wit sewing group and the United Methodist Women at the Science Hill United Methodist Church where she was a member. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Wells of Science Hill, her mother, Elizabeth Hall Denham of Somerset, three sons, David & (Lisa) Palmer of Somerset, Dale & (Jerri) Palmer of Munford, TN and David & (Mary) Wells of Science Hill, two daughters, Sarah Wells & (Barry Strunk) of Somerset and Keli & (David) Nelson of Science Hill, one brother, Stevan & (Sarah) Hall of Somerset, three sisters, Juanita & (Cecil) Helton of Burnside and Loretta & (Don) Slagle and Norma & (Mike) Garner both of Bronston, five grandchildren, Aaron Ray Palmer, Joshua Allen Palmer, David Tyler Wells, John David Nelson and Molli Jo Nelson, a special niece, Jennifer Duell, a special friend, Ben Crawford and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Ray Hall and stepfather, Garvel Denham. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 20, 2007 at Science Hill United Methodist Church with Bro. Troy Poff and Bro. Allen Moran officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Thursday at the church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
