Charles J. Hall, 84, of Somerset, Kentucky, husband of Charlotte Hall, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on July 17, 1926, son of the late Samuel Milton and Susan Robinson Hall. He was a life-long educator. He taught school for five years in Lincoln County before becoming superintendent for Pulaski County Schools and later for Science Hill Independent School. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wesley Hall of Somerset, two daughters, Cassandra & (Glen) Bastin of Louisville, KY and Rebecca & (Johnny) Maybrier of Somerset, two grandchildren, Monica Lynn Bastin and Makessa Star Stickley, special nephew, Rock Carr and many other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special friends, Doug Neace and David and Christine Cothron. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, J. Brian Bastin, one brother, Darrell Hall and five sisters, Beulah Gibson, Stella Wise, Bonnie Smitheron, Essie Grant and Fannie Carr Watts. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 25, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Lawrence Golden officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Research Alzheimer's Association, Greater KY, 6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205 Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
