Eugene Culvin Pilcher

Eugene Culvin Pilcher, 85, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Shelby County, Kentucky on August 28, 1925, son of the late Theodore and Minnie Herndon Pilcher. He was a mail carrier for the US Post Office in Frankfort. He was a US Navy veteran, having served during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Trula Vaught Pilcher of Frankfort, KY, two sons, Teddy L. Pilcher of Frankfort, KY and Larry G. & (Paula) Pilcher of Shelbyville, KY and two grandchildren, Kayla Pilcher and Kirsten Pilcher. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM Friday, March 11, 2011 at Mill Springs National Cemetery with Bro. Jesse Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, Frankfort, KY, 208 Steele St., Frankfort, KY 40601. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
