Velma Surber Thomas

Velma Surber Thomas, 82, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on May 20, 1928, daughter of the late Charlie and Mayme Bishop Surber. She worked in Central service for Christ Hospital. She is survived by one daughter, Ruby Kozma of Burlington, KY, two step daughters, Joy Reynolds of Florence, KY and Carol Griggs of Somerset, nine grandchildren, Matt Brummett, Joe Reynolds, Jerry Reynolds, Jeff Reynolds, Brian Hendricks, Barry Hendricks, Shawn Dunn, April Hayes and Cody Griggs and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Adrian Thomas, her parents and one step daughter, Betty Hendricks. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Emmitt Lanham officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
