Margaret (Haught) Padgett

Margaret (Haught) Padgett, 79, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on September 2, 1931, daughter of the late Jesse E. and Stella Anderson Haught. She was a seamstress at Belk's and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Joseph C. Padgett of Waynesburg, three daughters, Reta Susan & (Jerry) Hampton of Waynesburg, Vicki Lynn & (R.J.) Harding of Tell City, IN and Anita Jo & (Tim) O'Dell of White Bluff, TN, two brothers, Bruce Haught of Waynesburg and Grady & (Rissie) Haught of Eubank, one sister, Marjorie Measel of Sierra Vista, AZ, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and lots and lots of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jesse Matt Padgett and one brother, Carter Haught. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Double Springs Baptist Church in Waynesburg with Pastor Ron Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be after 5 PM Wednesday at Double Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
