Dennie Ray Edens

Dennie Ray Edens, 25, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on December 26, 1985, son of Gerald and Sharon Walden Edens. He was an employee of Warner Fertilizer Company and a member of Ansel Baptist Church. Dennie Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother and playing golf with his father. He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Sharon Edens, one brother, Brian Scott & (Staci) Edens, special nieces and nephews, Jaylan, Josh, Gracie, Audrie, Brian and Evan Edens. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather, Dennie Edens of Science Hill, aunts and uncles, Mildred Jean & (Louie) Cash, Eula & (Jay) Morgan, Boyd & (Elaine) Edens, Barnell & (Connie) Edens, Charlie & (Shirley) Edens, Linda Walden-Jones & (Michael Heath), Wanda Walden-McMahan & (Lynn) and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Roxie Edens, maternal grandparents, Robert and Grace Latham Walden and one aunt, Gale Walden-Minton Correll. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, May 6, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Childers officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
