Chase Alexander Wethington Padgett

Chase Alexander Wethington Padgett, 7, of Junction City, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on April 29, 2004, the son of Stefanie Lynn Padgett Oblisk. He was a student at Woodlawn Elementary School and he attended Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Chase enjoyed soccer and basketball. He loved art, and riding mini bikes. He also enjoyed trying to express the value of money, in other words Chase was the family banker. He received the "Heart of Gold" award in his first grade class and the "Medal of Life" for his organ donation from KODA. He is survived by his parents, Stefanie Lynn Padgett Oblisk and Gerald Lee Oblisk, Jr. of Junction City, KY, and Marie Wethington of Danville, KY, one brother, Connor James Wethington Padgett of Junction City, KY, two sisters, Madelyn Shae Oblisk and Josselyn Leigh Oblisk, both of Junction City, KY, grandparents, Clinton "Paw" and Barbara "Maw" Padgett of Lexington, KY, and Sharon "Nana" and William "Poppy" Woodrum of Hustonville, KY, grandmother, Patricia Wethington of Columbia, KY, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister, McKenna Grace Wethington Padgett, grandfather, Jim "Duck" Wethington and grandparents, Sherry Rae and Gerald Oblisk, Sr. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, June 18, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Danville, 1570 N. Danville Bypass, Danville, KY 40422 with Bro. Mike Mullins and Bro. Tim Mathis officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday, June 17, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Danville. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
