Marie Ellen New

Marie Ellen New, 61, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on May 7, 1950, daughter of Emma Rutherford Wilson and the late Harry Wilson. She was a member of Eubank Baptist Church. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking and gardening. She was a laborer for Vaught Bros. Manufacturing for 38 years. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" New, whom she married on August 30, 1969, her mother, Emma Wilson of Eubank, three daughters, Melynda & (Matt) Elder of Eubank, Kristi Lay of Lexington, KY and Kelli New of Hazard, KY, two grandchildren, Dylan and Chloe Elder, one sister, Agnes & (Marvin) Wesley of Eubank and three brothers, Roy & (Pam) Wilson, Ray Wilson and Charles Wilson, all of Eubank. She leaves behind a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Wilson, one sister, Nancy Wilson and one brother, Mike Wilson. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds and Bro. Gary New officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
