Thomas Franklin "Tom" Hatfield, 55, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in New Castle, Indiana on July 21, 1955, son of Loretta Aileen Baker Hatfield and the late Rudolph Russell Hatfield. He was a maintenance technician for the Somerset School System and of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Tom was a member of the NRA, Somerset Karate Academy and Cumberland Martial Arts.
He is survived by one son, Joshua & (Brandy) Hatfield of Nancy, one daughter, Misty Marie Farrell Hatfield of Lexington, KY, his mother, Loretta Aileen Hatfield of Somerset, four brothers, Bruce Russell Hatfield of Somerset, Steven Lewis Hatfield and Bobby Keith Hatfield, both of Nancy, Jeffery Lee Hatfield of Bronston, four sisters, Alice Ann Pavlick of Michigan and Linda Jo McEntire, Mary Katherine Beehner and Lisa Joy DeGarmo, all of Virginia, six grandchildren, Alexandra Sue Ann Rowland, Jeremiah Thomas Hatfield, Isaiah James Hatfield, John Denton Stewart, Audrey Jane Hatfield and Lyndsey Jade Hatfield, former wife, Deborah Mills Hatfield and a host of nieces and nephews. He loved his friends, family and especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Russell Hatfield.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Carr officiating and military honors by American Legion Post #38.
Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
