Mary J. Padgett

Mary J. Padgett, 90, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on May 27, 1921, daughter of the late Charles and Madi Whitis. She was a homemaker. She is survived by one son, Ronald Padgett of Lexington, KY, two daughters, Betty Coffey and Gail Pike, both of Waynesburg, sixteen grandchildren and twenty eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Padgett, her parents, one son, Douglas Cummings, one daughter, Barbara Stull, four brothers, Orville, Luther, Virgil and Bobby Whitis and one sister, Bertha Hawk. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Miracle Temple Church in Waynesburg, KY. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at Miracle Temple Church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
