Flora Mertice Vaught, 95 of Second Street in Eubank, passed away Monday June 11, 2007 at Somerset Nursing and Rehab.
She was born in Bethelridge, Kentucky on December 29, 1911, daughter of the late Clayton and Minnie Wesley Foster. She was a homemaker, a member of the Eubank Church of Christ and the Eubank Homemakers Club.
She is survived by two sons, John Sherman Vaught of Cincinnati and Terry Vaught of Eubank, one daughter, Wilda McKenzie of Lexington, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugar Vaught, whom she married on March 2, 1935 and who died on May 17, 1980, her parents, four brothers, Clyde Foster, Paul Foster, Reuel Foster and Ralph Foster, one sister, Beatrice Vaught and one grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Eubank Church of Christ with Bro. John Baxter officiating.
Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 1 PM Wednesday at the Eubank Church of Christ.
