Minnie Lee Wesley, 97, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Ansel, Kentucky on June 6, 1914, daughter of the late William Joe and Sarah Jane Wesley Gaddis. She was a homemaker and a caregiver at Oakwood and Hilltop Rest Home. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Joe Steve & (Joyce) Wesley of Somerset, Ronnie & (Geneva) Wesley and Darrell & (Brenda) Wesley, both of Science Hill, three daughters, Burnetta & (Johnny) Keeney of Somerset, Janet Anderson of Science Hill and Brenda & (Vernon) Godby of Somerset, one brother, Donald & (Betty) Gaddis of Cincinnati, OH, three sisters, Merlie Bryant and Mildred Elliott, both of Cincinnati, OH and Mathel Jenkins of Somerset, twelve grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Wesley, whom she married on April 10, 1932 and who died on July 25, 2007, her parents, one son, Clyde Eugene Wesley, who died in infancy, one daughter, Nola Blevins, seven brothers, Charlie, Luther, Ransom, Roscoe, Robert, Roy and Ralph Gaddis, one sister, Fannie Pearl Allen, three grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse and Bro. Gary Evans officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
