Ralph Hancock, Sr., 86 of Stevens Lane in Eubank, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007 at his residence.
He was born in Elmwood, Ohio on September 15, 1920, son of the late John and Nancy Ellen Godbey Hancock. He was a retired lumber inspector for McCutchion and Pyles and of the Pentecostal faith. He was a WWII Air Force veteran having attained the rank of sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Reynolds Hancock of Eubank, two sons, Ralph Hancock, Jr. of Eubank and Troy & (Kim) Hancock of Mt. Vernon, KY, seven daughters, Judy Hancock of Columbia, KY, Jewel Wolfe of London, KY, Sandy & (Farrel) Blanton of Somerset, Lena Rose Dunbar of Russell Springs, KY, Sharon & (Vester) Meece of Eubank, Ruth & (Eddie) Stephens of Somerset and Rita Hancock of Science Hill, one brother, Wallace & (Audrey) Hancock of Somerset, two sisters, Vera Norris and Shirley & (Howard) Dobbs both of Somerset, fifteen grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Vivian Ann Hancock, one grandchild, four brothers, Harold, Gene & (Maude), Donald and Henry Hancock and one brother-in-law, Jack Norris.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill with Bro. Ernie Wyatt officiating.
Burial will be in Valley Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
The family of Mr. Hancock would like to acknowledge the care and concern that Hospice of Lake Cumberland showed during his illness.
