Eddie Logan Dick, 73, of the Shady Grove community, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on September 1, 1938, son of the late Elmer Andrew and Artie Percella Roberts Dick. Eddie Logan was a retired mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Gadberry Dick, whom he married on August 8, 1962, four children, Michael Andrew Dick of Shady Grove, Jeffery Dale & (Kimberly) Dick of Cincinnati, OH, Lisa Gale & (Marcus) Barber of Science Hill and Donald Logan & (Sherry) Dick of Harrison, OH, eight grandchildren, Andrew Logan & (Amanda) Barber, Matthew Clay & (Michelle) Barber, Brayson Clay Barber, Tabitha Ann Dick, Jacob William Dick, Ashley Nicole Dick, Lena Nicole Dick and Tyler Logan Dick and five great-grandchildren, Brandon Barber, Katie Barber, Walker Clay Barber, Mason Tyler Wayne Barber and Lilliam Moler. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Ellen Butt and Ruby Peters, one brother, Robert "Bob" & (Christine) Dick and three step grandchildren, Sarah Hein, Justin Hein and Heather Maiden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Dalton officiating.
Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Barber, Matthew Barber, Jacob Dick, Joe Dick, Shawn Barber and Steve Powers.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
