Thomas Howard Simpson

Thomas Howard Simpson, 84, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Grundy, Kentucky on February 25, 1927, son of the late William Dawson and Manda Davidson Simpson. He was a farmer, loved woodworking and of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gilmer Simpson and four sisters, Flonnie Bobbitt, Elva Whitson, Sophia Lou Simpson, who died in infancy and Violet Simpson, who died in infancy. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Warrick officiating. Burial will be in Rock Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
