Dora Lee Jones Chaney

Dora Lee Jones Chaney, 97, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Bethelridge, Kentucky on November 9, 1913, daughter of the late Cyrus and Ameila Cockran Phelps. She was a homemaker and a member of Clifty Road Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Leo & (Sue) Jones of Science Hill and Tom & (Karen) Jones of Attica, IN, two daughters, Wilda & (Lee) Childers of Somerset and Hilda & (Billy) Trimble of Williamsport, IN, one grandson, Michael Jones, whom she raised as a son, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Jones, her second husband, Estel Chaney, her parents and brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
