Charles Glenn Griffin Sr.

Charles Glenn Griffin Sr., 85, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Woodstock, Kentucky on April 9, 1926. He was a retired diesel mechanic for Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Woodstock Masonic Lodge and Woodstock Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Flora Cecilia Hunt Griffin of Somerset, two sons, Charles Griffin Jr. & (fiancé Mary Kenner, of New Haven, KY and John Michael Griffin of Live Oak, FL, one daughter, Kathy Jewell Duncan of Selina, TN, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 14, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
