Charles Brinegar, 85, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Irvine, Kentucky on September 17, 1926, son of the late Samuel and Emma McQueen Brinegar. He retired as foreman for McCalls Printing Press Co. in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of Beech Grove Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary West Brinegar of Science Hill, five daughters, Connie Gail Downs of Xenia, OH, Mable Ann Martin and Bobbie Sue Kendall, both of West Union, OH, Sandra Lee Conover of Xenia, OH, Brenda Kaye Smith of Huber Heights, OH, three brothers, Joseph Brinegar of Somerset, Jennings Brinegar of Springboro, OH and Ernie Brinegar of Kettering, OH, six sisters, Inez Fyffe of Fairborn, OH, Cordelia Short of Dayton, OH, Hazel Jenkins of Fairborn, OH, Patty Sue Greene of Tampa, FL, Marie Angel of Somerset and Elizabeth "Sissy" Benner of Lewisburg, OH, fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Donna Jean Carter and one brother, Eugene Brinegar.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, October 17, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
A private family graveside service will be held at Beech Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
