Lonnie Noel Dick, 78, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born in Hogue, Kentucky on December 27, 1932, son of the late Holbert and Neattie Haggard Dick. He was a truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Masonic Lodge #255, Olieka Temple and an avid member of Lake Cumberland Mini Monsters. He is survived by his wife, Glynes Moore Dick of Science Hill, one son, Steven Noel & (Laura) Dick of Cincinnati, OH, two step daughters, Jennifer (James) Brewer of Crab Orchard, KY and Paula & (John) Ruhe of Fort Wayne, IN, one brother, Othel & (Jearleen) Dick of Science Hill, one sister, Betty Joyce & (Rod) Elliott of Science Hill, two grandchildren, Emily Dick and Jeremy Dick, five step grandchildren, Alisha Brewer, Courtney Brewer, Daniel Ruhe, Michael Ruhe and Staff Sgt. Lonnie & (Michelle) Brown of Ft. Campbell, two great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Thadeus Brown, adopted daughter, Angela Young of San Diego, CA and two adopted granddaughters, Codi Nielson and Ruby Lee Nielson. He was preceded in death by his parents and step grandchild, Gabriel Ruhe. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, October 31, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Merrick officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 5 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with a Masonic service being held at 6 PM Sunday by Mt. Gilead Masonic Lodge #255. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
