Selectia 'Granny' Hudson

Selectia "Granny" Blevins Hudson, 91, of the Beech Grove Community in Science Hill, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County on December 27, 1915 to the late John Abe and Lue Priscilla Dick Blevins. She was a homemaker and a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Charles & (Patricia) Hudson of Jacksonville, FL, and Lawrence & (Lacie) Hudson of Cincinnati, OH; one daughter, Betty & (Robert) Dick of Science Hill; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death her parents; her husband, Dennie Dean Hudson whom she married on September 18, 1934 and who passed away on June 12, 2000; one daughter, Anna Godbey; five brothers, Herman, Hoy, Ottis, Herb, and Curt; four sisters, Myrtle, Mary, Bertha, and Eliza; and one great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 17, 2007 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill, KY with Bro. Lester Randolph and Vickie Eastham officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
