Thelma Louise Hamlin

Thelma Louise Ferris Hamlin, 65, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at her residence. She was born on July 20, 1946 in Waltonville, Illinois, daughter of the late William Alfred and Maggie Irene Morgan Harris Ferris. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church. She is survived by, two daughters, Lora & (Terry) Fretwell of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Brenda & (Billy) Kirk of Science Hill, Kentucky, three brothers, Donald & (Carolyn) Ferris, Stephen & (Sidney) Ferris both of Illinois, and Roy & (Peggy) Ferris of Tennessee, three sisters, Mickey & (David) Magee of Arizona, Edith Anderson of Fulton, Kentucky, and Donna & (James E.) Tennessee, one brother-in-law, William & (Margaret) Hamlin of Corbin, Kentucky, one grandson, Joseph D. Kirk of Science Hill, Kentucky and eight foster grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Hamlin who passed away on September 20, 2010, and her parents. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
