Lou Etta Prows Head, 75, of Alexander Road in Somerset, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at her residence. She was born on January 10, 1932, in Pulaski County, a daughter of the late Joseph Harmon and Martha Susan Lee Prows. She was a nurses aide at Old Somerset City Hospital and a homemaker. She was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Steve & (Karen) Head of Eubank, two daughters, Christina Head-Miller of Somerset and Winnetta Head Turner & (Bobby) of Lexington, four sisters, Christine Prows Wilburn, Merdell Prows Burnett and Lorene Prows Head all of Somerset and Dorothy Prows Martin of Cincinnati, seven grandchildren, twins, Keith and Kevin Todd, Robby Turner, Lindsay Turner and Stephanie Head all of Lexington, Susan Mink and special Makessa Jo Miller both of Somerset and seven great-grandchildren, twins, Lucas and Logan Todd, Zander Metz and Brooklyn Turner all of Lexington, Keaton Todd of Richmond and Logan Randall and Maddox Mink both of Somerset. She is also survived by a special friend, Christine Hargis Godby. Her caregivers were Christina Head-Miller, Steve Head and Eyvonne Wells. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Head, whom she married on December 5, 1950 and who died on July 26, 2001, a son, Roger Terrell "Terry" Head, who died on October 18, 1980, four brothers, Lucien, Lindsay, Clarence and Robert Prows and three sisters, Bonnie Prows Diamond, Daisy Prows Hargis and Kathern Prows Jones. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Woodstock Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Blevins officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and Saturday after 12 Noon at the church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
