Peggy Sue Cain Vaught, 78, of Science Hill, Kentucky, wife of Victor Vaught, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on September 25, 1933, daughter of the late Hubert and Exie Wright Cain. She was a former employee of Palm Beach in Somerset, KY, Eastern State Hospital and Proctor and Gamble of Lexington, KY, also Carharts in Murray, KY before becoming a full-time homemaker and caretaker of her grandchildren. Peggy was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church in Science Hill. She taught Sunday School, was involved with WMU and was dedicated to her church as long as her health allowed.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Vaught, whom she married on March 24, 1954. To this union, they had two daughters, Vickie & (Jim) Denney of Eubank and Linda & (Larry) Stephens of Science Hill. Also surviving are two grandsons, Mark & (Kim) Denney of Somerset and Scott Stephens of Science Hill and two great-grandchildren, Connor Denney and Clara Denney, both of Somerset.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse, Bro. John Zupancic and Bro. Patrick Butcher officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
