Harold Edward Meece

Harold Edward Meece, 78, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on July 31, 1933, son of the late Edgar Perkins and Amanda Laura Meece. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by one son, Harold Meece Jr., one daughter, Debra Annette Meece, one brother, Eugene Meece, two sisters, Zula Meece Morris and Marie Meece Ramsey and special friend, Jan Daulton. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Bobby Meece, Clyde Meece and James Meece and one sister, Elizabeth Meece. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Mill Springs National Cemetery with Chaplain Clarence Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
