Stanley McCoy Jr.

Stanley McCoy Jr., 64, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 23, 1947, son of the late Stanley and Gleanis Wilmajean Beach McCoy Sr. He was retired from International Harvester as a truck manufacturer and attended Ringgold United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam and also served in the Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue Howell McCoy of Somerset, four sons, Robert McCoy of Porter, TX, Joey McCoy of Dallas, TX, Christopher McCoy of San Francisco, CA and Joshua McCoy of Somerset, one daughter, Cortney McCoy of Somerset, one brother, Phillip McCoy of Knoxville, TN, one sister, Patricia Gail Kilby of Friendsville, TN, five grandchildren, Katlyn McCoy, Robert McCoy Jr., Emily McCoy, Megan McCoy and Miliana McCoy and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
