Elmer C. Bishop

Elmer C. Bishop, 71, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on January 25, 1941, son of the late Claude and Nora Swallows Bishop. He was a truck driver for Buis Trucking and a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by one son, Gary Lee Bishop, one daughter, Kathy & (James) Hasty and two grandchildren, Samantha Michelle and Sarah Alizabeth Hasty, all of Science Hill. He is also survived by two brothers, Lloyd & (Barbara) Bishop of Indianapolis, IN and Johnnie & (Myrna) Bishop of Science Hill and one sister, Velma Holleman of Florence, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alfreda Loveless Bishop, who died on December 5, 2009, his parents, two brothers, Paul and Howard Bishop and one sister, Lucille Payne. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Don Jones officiating. Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
