Rose Mary "Rosie" Hardy

Rose Mary "Rosie" Hardy, 69, of East Frog Hollow Road in Science Hill, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Virgie, Kentucky on August 28, 1938, daughter of the late Ark Willis and Ocie Little Rowe. She retired from General Electric after 23 years and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Waynesburg. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, A.J. Hardy, whom she married on July 3, 1958, three daughters, JoAnna Hardy Glover of Mt. Washington, KY, Lou Ann Hardy of Science Hill and Gail Marie Hardy of Knoxville, TN, her sister and best friend, Lois Ann Hegg of Spring Lake, NC and two grandchildren, Whitney Justine Woodring and Logan Reed Hardy Woodring. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Bennie C. Rowe, Dr. Billy Joe Rowe and Walter Vernon Rowe. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, September 10, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown and Bro. George Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Galilean Home, Box 880 Liberty, KY 42539.
