Mary Strehl

Mary Ann Hayden Strehl, 68, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away March 29, 2012. She was born September 9, 1943 in Owensboro, KY to the late J.C. and Mary Lodene Hayden. She was a loving, devoted Christian, mother and grandmother. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, watching NASCAR racing and basketball. She was an avid UK fan. Ms. Strehl was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church, Somerset, KY. She is survived by 3 children, Carla (Dennis) Barrett, Mike (Kim) Strehl, Terra Wheeldon, 8 grandchildren, Brandon Barrett, Ashley Smothers, Sarah, Josh and Joseph Strehl, Zac Jones and Tanner and Jacob Wheeldon, 2 great grandchildren, Emma and Hannah Barrett. She is also survived by a brother, Roy (Gayle) Hayden and 2 sisters, Martha (Bill) Herrell and Ruth (Mark) Mumford. Services will be 2:00pm Sunday April 1, 2012, at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with the Reverend Kenneth Stone officiating and burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Sunday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home.
