William Deaton, Jr.

William Deaton, Jr., 85, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away, Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at The University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born in Somerset, KY on March 2, 1927, son of the late W.B. Deaton Sr., and Oma Turner Deaton. He was a Singer Dealer and owner of Deaton Sewing Center, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a member and deacon of Northside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Leila "Sis" Hicks Deaton, one son, Bill & (Tami) Deaton of Eubank, Kentucky, one daughter, Lynne Stigall of Somerset, Kentucky, one brother, G.B. Deaton of Eubank, Kentucky, and two grandchildren, Heidi & (Matt) Bowling, and Chuck McClure. He was preceded in death by, his parents, and three sisters, Leona Surber, Almona Chitwood and Faye Holt. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Patrick Butcher and Bro. David Muse officiating. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Northside Baptist Church Building Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
