Judy Ann Diamond, 61, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at her home after a long illness.
She was born on September 13, 1945 in Elkhart, Indiana to Leonard and Esther (Miller) Eby. Judy grew up in the Wakarusa area and later married Leonard I. Diamond on November 8, 1986 in Goshen, Indiana.
Judy graduated from Wakarusa High School and Michiana Business College. She worked for several years in secretarial positions and retired in 1996 after working 27 years at Johnson Controls. Judy also loved flowers and enjoyed working in her garden, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family and friends. She accepted Jesus as her Savior, was a member of the First Church of God of Goshen, and enjoyed numerous Bible study groups.
She is survived by her husband, two children, Christie Drapeza and Mark Drapeza of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one grandchild and five step-grandchildren; her mother, Esther Eby of Wakarusa; one sister, Jan & (Richard) Shively of Elkhart, and one brother David L. Eby of Wakarusa.
Judy was preceded in death by her father and one granddaughter.
Visitation is Wednesday evening at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford Street in Wakarusa, Indiana from 2-4 PM and 6-7 PM with a funeral service being held immediately following the visitation at 7 PM. Her brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Richard L. Shively officiated. Judy's body will rest awaiting Resurrection in her husband's family cemetery, Woodstock Cemetery, following a graveside service at 10 AM on Friday, September 14.
