Roxie Jane Edens

Roxie Jane Edens, 86, of West Highway 635 in Science Hill, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Little Rocklick, Kentucky on June 30, 1921, daughter of the late TN and Isabelle Haste Dick. She was a homemaker and a member of Ansel Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Dennie Edens of Science Hill, whom she married on November 29, 1941, four sons, Boyd & (Elaine) Edens, Barnell & (Connie) Edens and Charlie & (Shirley) Edens all of Somerset and Gerald & (Sharon) Edens of Science Hill, two daughters, Mildred & (Louie) Cash of Cincinnati, OH and Eula & (John) Morgan of Vonoke, TN, one sister, Dorothy & (Ralph) Baugh of Cincinnat, OH, seventeen grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and one great-grandson. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, September 21, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Childers officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
