Roger Williams

Roger Williams, 79, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 at Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on February 23, 1933, son of the late Ambrose McClure Williams and Lillie Rebecca Floyd Williams. He was retired from Tecumseh and a member of Pilot Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by two sons, Doug Williams of West Liberty, KY and Delvin Williams of Eubank, two daughters, Delena Smith of Danville, KY and Devona Fair of Billings, MT, one sister, Ina Ward of Florida, twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Howard and Lewis Williams, one sister, Illa Hamilton and one granddaughter, Misty Morgan. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Pilot Baptist Church with Bro. Gordon Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #18. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 10 AM Thursday at Pilot Baptist Church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
