Edna Frances (Dick) Vaught

Edna Frances (Dick) Vaught, 84, of Rita Lane in Corbin, formerly of Vaught Ridge Community, passed away Friday, September 21, 2007 at Oaktree Hospital in Corbin. She was born in Vaught Ridge, Kentucky on September 16, 1923, daughter of the late Millard B. and Daisy Lee (Vaught) Dick. She was a teaching assistant at K.I.P.P. Child Care Center and a member of Central Baptist Church in Corbin. She is survived by one son, James Darrell Vaught of Corbin, one daughter, Melissa Gail Vaught of Corbin, two sisters, Hazel Dick of Somerset and Winnie Brown of Cincinnati, OH and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Curtis Vaught, who died on November 29, 2000, her parents, three brothers, Vestal J. Dick, Ezra Perry Dick and Vertis Ray Dick and two sisters, Jean Lavanier and Thelma Rainwater. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill with Rev. Bennie Bush officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 PM - 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
