Opal Lee Howard

Opal Lee Howard, 91, of North Maple Street in Somerset, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on January 20, 1916, daughter of the late B.O. and Rhoda (Kidd) Robert. She was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church and a sales person for J.C. Penny's. She is survived by one brother, William Paul Lorton of Cincinnati, OH and one sister, Hattie Crabtree of Monticello, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cam W. Howard, whom she married on September 11, 1933 and who died on November 26, 1994, her parents and one daughter, Gana Lee Howard, who died on December 16, 1934. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill with Bro. David Pendley and Bro. Chris Blevins officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Woodstock Baptist Church Building Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
