Leslie W. Cook, 93, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on May 4, 1919, son of the late Mack and Flora Harmon Cook. He was a truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran, a lifetime member of Mt. Gilead Lodge 255 and a member of McKinney Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Roger Lee & (Marilyn) Cook of Lexington, KY and David Wayne & (Angie) Cook of Eubank, one daughter, Sharon Kaye & (Jimmy) Wheeldon of Eubank, seven grandchildren, Chris & (Jennifer) Cook, Gayla Cook, Martin & (Jill) Wheeldon, Bradley & (Julia) Wheeldon, Lisa Anderson, Emily Cook and Matt & (Tara) Cook, two step grandchildren, Scott Lewis and Leann Baker, nine great-grandchildren, Lucas Wheeldon, Caleb Wheeldon, Dekker Wheeldon, Austin Wheeldon, Hagan Wheeldon, Sadie Wheeldon, Darcy Cook, Skye Anderson and Eaden Cook and four step great-grandchildren, Linzey, Cody, Kenneth and Briceton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Eubank Cook after 63 years of marriage, his parents, four brothers, Homer, Ivan, James and Ray Cook and two sisters, Selma Brackney and Paula Allen. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, May 13, 2012 at McKinney Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Reynolds and Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
