Charles S. "Charlie" Irvine

Charles S. "Charlie" Irvine, 91, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at Central Baptist in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on July 16, 1920, son of the late Layton and Tina Taylor Irvine. He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by one son, Don & (Nancy) Irvine of Harrodsburg, KY, two grandchildren, Zachary Irvine of Richmond, KY and Samuel Irvine of Harrodsburg, KY and one daughter, Joyce Bruehl of Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dunagan Irvine, his parents and four brothers, George Ray Irvine, Carl Irvine, John Irvine and James Irvine. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
