Clarence Linville Burton

Clarence Linville Burton, 82, Somerset, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on June 27, 1929, son of the late Linville and Ardella Ard Burton Sadler. He was a retired machinist and a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by a son, George Linville Burton of Somerset, KY, two daughters, Mary Margaret Gossett of Somerset, KY, Patricia Ellen Lee of Missouri, four grandchildren, Jason Davis Lee, Justin Linville Lee, James Scott Gossett and Mary Ellen Gossett. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vina Ellen (Whitis) Burton on May 6, 2002, and a sister, Betty Jones. A funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Lowell Gossett officiating. Burial will be in Etna Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 11am on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
