Ronald Milburn Ard

Ronald Milburn Ard, 73, of Science Hill, Kentucky, the Mt. Zion community, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Naomi, Kentucky on August 7, 1938, son of the late Oscar and Willie Marie Pierce Ard. He was a farmer and carpenter. He was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Maredith Elder Ard of Science Hill, two sons, Tony Lee Ard and Michael Scott Ard, both of the Mt. Zion community, two brothers, Norman & (Dolores) Ard of Somerset and Loren & (Betty) Ard of Middletown, OH, three sisters, Ruth Ann & (Jack) Hines of Mintonville, Fayrene & (Ray) Losey of Science Hill and Lucille Wallin of Sharonville, OH, four grandchildren, Wendy & (Ryan) Price, Austin Scott Ard, Marcus Isaac Ard and Jared Cole Ard and sister-in-law, Faye Ard of Somerset. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wendell Ard and a sister-in-law, Violet Ard. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 15, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Nichols and Bro. Mike Coppersmith officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
