Howard C. Gaylor, 89, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Lafollette, TN on June 11, 1923, son of the late Howard and Mary Broyles Gaylor. He was a mechanic for Chrysler Corporation. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Vida Ruth Bruce Gaylor, one son, Jerry Gaylor, both of Eubank, one daughter, Sue Dewar of Toledo, OH, two brothers, Paul Gaylor of Lafollette, TN and Virgil Gaylor of Florida, three sisters, Ailene Ayres of Lafollette, TN, Lois Yobaggy of Roanoke, VA and Loretta Bragg of Covington, VA, two grandchildren, Kimberly Dewar and Jennifer Dewar and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Navee and Zola.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Robert Gaylor and one sister, Pauline Broyles.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Reynolds officiating.
Burial will be in Etna Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
