Ida Geraldine Lee

Ida Geraldine "Gerry" Estes Ruckel Lee, 80, a resident of Eubank, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Born December 18, 1926 in Pulaski County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rosa Bell (Godby) Richardson and Cecil Estes. Gerry graduated from Eubank High School in 1944 and had close ties with many she graduated with. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Elroy Ruckel, a son, James Michael Ruckel, a sister, Mildred Baugh and two half brothers, Ralph and Dallas Richardson. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Charles Lee, whom she married on October 23, 1993. Also her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and John Ware, her step daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Charles Gillman, a step sister, Lucille Richardson, two grandchildren, Jeremie and Jessica Adkins, two step grandsons, Ryan Ware and Jeromy Carpenter and two great-granddaughters, Julia Whitwam and Maya Pate as well as numerous other family members and friends. Gerry was a proud homemaker and a member of Eubank Baptist Church. She truly loved her Sunday School class, The Graceful Ladies Class and Homemaker's Club. The family will receive family and friends, Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Home going celebration services will be held at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Shelby Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at the Eubank Cemetery. As a gift to Gerry, please spend extra moments with your family. Give them your undivided attention.
