James Archie Campbell

James Archie Campbell, 64, of Somerset, Kentucky, Purple Heart Vietnam veteran, joined forever with his Lord and Savior Friday, July 27, 2012. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 10, 1948, son of the late William "Oscar" Campbell and Lucy "Marie" Blankenship Campbell. Archie is survived by brothers, William "Bill & (Carol) Campbell of Eubank, Johnny Campbell of Sloans Valley and Kenny Campbell of Science Hill, also by the love of his life, Wanda Faye Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Angela Jean Campbell and brothers, Henry, Herman, Carl and Charles "Charlie" Campbell. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Donations may be made to the Lake Cumberland Square Dance Club at 45 East Waterloo Rd., Nancy, KY 42544, which gave him much pleasure in his later years. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
