Dorothy Colyer, 82, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on April 1, 1930, daughter of the late Elmer and Nancy Evans Burnett. She was a homemaker. She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Ann Colyer, Jennifer Lynn & (Wayne) Grizzle, both of Hamilton, OH, Belinda Gail & (James) Wilson of Somerset, one brother, Gary "Butch" & (Brenda) Burnett of Somerset, five grandchildren, Misty Lynn & (Jason) Brammer of Hamilton, OH, Mindy Renee` Grizzle & (Jamie Ledford) of Middletown, OH, Melinda Marie Wilson and Jacob Lee Wilson, both of Somerset and Cody Tucker Wilson of Monticello and four great-grandchildren, Mason Wesley Brammer, Mylah Rose Brammer, Nathan Wesley Ledford and Jessie Rylan. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley Colyer, her parents, one daughter, Debra Sue Colyer, two brothers, Bobby Burnett and Elmer Burnett Jr. and one sister, Opal Smith. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Friday, August 3, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Ryan officiating. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home Burial will be in Hickory Flat Cemetery in Hamilton, OH at 11 AM Saturday, August 4, 2012. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. A special thanks to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, to Melinda and Jake Wilson, Kandi and Billy Vaughn, Sydney, Charles and Cheri Bolin, Sam and John Benge and a very special thanks to her caretaker, Ashley Polson. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
